Gluttonery 4

 Re-writting life path. Women in business career and family. 

My nerves simply broked thinking of the idea of not being able to launch an artist career. I received suggestions of going into art therapy issues to solve both problems, the business plan, and my illness' relief. I was full attacked. In the meanwhile, I had not to raise my kids anymore, they grow up, actually, they are living home and I feel my hands just empty. The nurturing time has ended. Women seems to follow this path, putting down their purposes to circumstances, not finding the way back to business from the housekeeper tasks. 

A summary of what sometime a christian author wrote about gender equality in the labor market, Randel, Jr. G. (1998, pp. 243-257) might significate a hurl point of relevance for dealing with this situation: “… traditional family delegates women to a secondary labor sector of lower-paying, lowbenefit, dead-end-jobs”, states “wage differentials”. “Although most members of U.S. Society no longer expect that women should aspire to be only homemakers and mothers, social pressure neverthless remains on working women to hold primary responsability for the domestic life”. 

Because society stands behaviors on women in business... You get to be a god mom, which implies no budget. Being a good neightbor pulls you to face the risk of getting repute in your community. From dad's criterium, don't even step the street. Many women consider not parenting at all, I do defend my right of being a mom, and to act as one in business, that is not the question as I will not have to repeat it. Point is that if you are committed to take your own decisions, it implies financial freedom as requirement. Can't dream of launching a global career because you deserve it without handling with sword words: you are already fifty years old, anybody would believe in a third world country woman, go and see if you can launch your family support ... because you have being punished for been a single mother ... and far more, for not being enough eager compared to other women in industry, sorry but I'm not going to act as a man at the office. I want my money back now. I want to be wealthy and free. (The one corresponding to years of investment on family without an income. Be willing to respect your mom). 

“There are many subtle ways in which women are disadvantaged in pursuing academic carreers. Recognizing stereotypes is the first way to eliminate them”. - Listen - Two concepts. The glass ceilling – succesful women don't reach the top of their proffession because of gender condition. The maternal wall – women with children are less likely to achieve that men goals. Most of the competitive women avoid having children. Stereotyping. “... an employer fired an employee who sought to return from maternity leave on the grounds that mothers should stay at home until their children are grown”. “... success is largerly the accumulation of advantage”, … “in favor of promoting men, after a while, 65 percent of top-level employees were male. Conversely, the accumulation of disadvantage”, “for women creates very real job detriment”. “The glass ceiling is composed of two different patterns, one makes it harder for women to perceived as competent, women's succesful performance tends to be more closely scrutinized, and assessed by stricter standards than men's”. “Women tend to receive fewer rewards than men”. People expects women to be supportive, not “brilliant”, seeing too competitive. “Advancement in organization depends not only on competence assessments but also on social acceptance and approval”. Completing the brief, “worker mother is seeing as selfish and unsensitive”. “The paternal wall instead shows a worker father as warm and competent, good worker, the one who seek an active role in family care as taking kids to a soccer game”. “Men is expected to gain more than women. If taking care of children and had to take a part-time job, he might feel less men”. “So are stereotypes” - conclude the author -. Williams, J. (2004 – pp. 16-20). 

Getting the budget to pull up my entrepreneurship has been a jeopardy. As I helped with red cross giving psicological support during a “hecatomb (every day's colombian situation)”, and people still remember my retired dad, a medical doctor, as a respectful part of society, (they stand him to a saint's category), I was suggested to work on this art therapy affairs, as a means of “get to do something useful with your career in arts”. I'd like to mention importance of mentorship to get to be profitable at the business, an experienced businessman, giving relevance to orange economy, put out the need of constructing industry, and enhance employment for Latinamerica, of course, his way of seeing companies' building is larger ... I did changed my dad as recommended. 

For my dad all this issue results overwhelming. I need to state that I'm not going to threat patients through any artherapy practice, but storytelling, as it is my desire. From art-therapy brainstorm, thou, I recognize, it lets me acquire challenging and innovation resources for instaling my storytelling services in applications like: relief; education; entertainment; fighting stress; personal growth; life project; free time readings; social services; cultural animation; social media; tracking orange businesses, and ecommerce; human talent development; wellbeing quality; and society development in general. I still learned about tourism, international trading, lean concepts for cultural industries, existence o agile, scrum techniques, an a lot more issues during making the mock up of my proposal for validation into the market. So, I'm preparing myself for a beta validation of my product. I need to go forward. 

I'm considering, for instance, a study on Chilean's life stories showing how “cultural change occurs at the individual level”, taking in account “factors that motivate and inhibit processes of reinterpretation of personal experience, and identifies different levels at which it operates”. In the 60's, “the sociology of selfhood began to develop”. “Scholars observed the conformation of self identity in interactional context. Self as development in the person's psyche from the rules imposed by collective life”. “Self as a result of a reflective process in interactional everyday's contexts”. They introduce an idea of behavior as “emphasizing its performative nature”. “The development of different tools for empirical analysis of the dialogical relationship between self and society has accompanied this process. For example, the relationship between self-interpretation and prevailing social discourses has been examined as narrative work, and identity work”. “Still, the question of how individuals negociate the interpretation of personal experience over their lifetimes in the context of cultural change remains unexplored”. - Debate between esscentialism and constructivism -. “Negotiation of personal experience when the cultural references suffer transformations in a given society”. Bernasconi, O. (2011, pp. 20-37). Awsome. 

I still get to manage my dad's big figure on me, he even doesn't know I'm taking this grade. I think this is for me the most difficult part of being a company's woman manager, since I don't have his support, I don't have warranties for a debt. It means, the project of “Hay un lugar, Taller de arte” must be stronger enough for tracking it just by sells' incomes to make it profitable, and maybe to convicnce my kids of being greatful to mom, giving her a proper credit on her ideas, lenting her money for her purposes, while, thinking of continuing being part of the family, and getting manage to follow my kids' career's goal, which could be farther bigger than mine, in the sense, they are even more qualified than me. 

I found a study to be worried about, entrepreneurship practices at third world countries, which are being implemented on inmigrant population in the U.S. without success because they don't accomplish U.S. markets requirements, researches conclude they are not solving poverty, so they consider that these practices don't meet U.S. standards and must be reviewed. “Women in poor countries are launching nothing” shoots Bachrach, T and K (1998, pp.424-440). 

I further identify all the tasks I still have to do to construct a budget for my minimal viable product, and a five minutes elevator pitch as next step. New validation process. Between the issues I will have to follow through: 1. Enhance rehersal about audiences for storytelling (kids, youth, families, B2B, media, on stage, books, t-shirts, posters, waiting rooms, school class, etc); 2. Taking acknowledge of finnancing, a propposal for an on stage delivery; 3. Craft: gather the stories, not fairy tales, make drawings for PDF's books, thinking of notebooks; 4. Thrieve with numerical information for project costs, and contents; 5. Selling's funnel step; 6. Draft further development, markets, potential clients like schools, hotels, health, social services, orange, tourism, social media, legal expenses, for completing the company's business plan; 7. Budgeting the maquila, a new computer for design, marketing and selling issues, contract of human talent (yelling for help); 8. Offer product considerations, for catching buyers, and finnancial supporters; and finally, 9. Work on speeches. This is what is going to be everlasting, not matter all my mental training for being someone at life. 

This is an empirical study about textil industry founders and their responses to the same adversity, so researchers can compare results. This paper relates to resilence skills, and challenging times. I'll be worthy of reading later. Powell, E. and Baker, T. (2014, pp.1406 – 1433). 

Dealing with my feeling of being facing a big challenge in order to model my further career path, I think that working on resilence and emotional responses are important issues to gather motivation to continue, not for me, for everyone. Latinamerican families are more patriarcal and closed to new feminism ideas, I don't feel feminist, I feel nearest to a Christian revaluation of women work at society. I'm committed to a more maternal and less empowered way of leading a company, because I believe women stand families, and construct societies. It's important to continue working on development from a women point of view. It's a pity, feminists are throwing families to the garbage. I can't stand it. I don't feel less woman for being a mother, so I'll be launching and defending my proper place on society. Mothers have rights too. Women hold communities and social services, I bet for a “mutuality” model, I even raise my kids that way. You might to be respectful to your parents, and family might be supportive.

Entrepreneur: (Redefining Business Plan). 

Hay un Lugar, Taller de Arte (There’s a place - Once upon -, Workshop). Art Retail Shop, functional and decorative objects, books, gifts, and souvenirs. Hay un Lugar Magazine prototype (instead I’m developing a social media, more flexible model). Publication’s development (contents). Design and prototyping. Cultural Services, Consulting on communication, education, culture, edutainment, innovation and development. A projects office. I’m interested in tourism issues and international trade. From Magazine I rescue two projects. I gathered with educational purpose some www material around cultural management, I processed for being used with Commune 13’s kids (14-17 years old). I think this need cases studies and information about international trading to construct a learning book, for anyone who wants to learn how to enhance entrepreneurship competences. This could lead to become a speaker. 

Then, from an Art Therapy article at the magazine, I was told to developed investigation about intervention models, formative processes, and law frameworks around innovation on health care management to be applied by Colombian Government, so, I’m thinking about consulting services. It has following topics: disabilities, leisure and free time, well-being, reception and attention centers, psychological first aid, prevention, occupational work, leading toward job, between others.

Teacher. Cultural intervention at Comuna 13, Medellín, Colombia, 2005 - 2019. As a result, 818 kids (14 – 17 years old) ended up high school in 2019, approved by Education Ministry of Colombia, through an essay which should include applied math, all of them choose social problems. They applied to Saber 11 test to continue on undergraduate studies, entrepreneurial effort, or work. 10 people answered complete exam receiving maximum score, they received scholarships to study Medicine (8 teens), Business Management (2 teens) in Andes, Sabana and Eafit Universities. Most of the kids received scholarships from Public Universities, they started in 2020. Cultura E (Culture E, a governmental office for entrepreneurs) received 515 business plans from Commune 13’s people, December 2019 statistics.

Gluttonery 3

 

Gluttonery es una publicación anual que recoge toda la producción factual de Zafary – Hay Un Lugar, Taller de Arte, junto con algunos elementos de análisis sobre sus procesos.

 








Empecé con la idea de crear pequeños espacios en la casa que pudiesen funcionar como set para la grabación de entrevistas en video, de videos para Youtube sobre temas culturales o no, un lugar que pudiese ser fotografiado. Siempre pensé la imagen bidimensional como un objeto que forma parte de una composición más grande, la escenografía. El lugar en donde ocurren puestas en escena. Escenas realistas o fantásticas. Videos funcionales o experimentales.


Canal 13 era un canal escuela. Allí aprendimos a trabajar en estudio. Los presupuestos de las grabaciones en estudio son más bajos. Movilizar un equipo de realización por la ciudad para producir series, puede costar sus denarios. El estudio de grabación tiene beneficios y desventajas. Uno siente que toda la gente llega a uno, luego de meses trabajando en el proyecto, uno comienza a extrañar la calle. Es muy productivo tener todo a mano.

 

Esos objetos de marco con papel de color, o de lija con marco de cartón, son una propuesta al estilo 007, yo le había propuesto al director Luis Ospina diseñar unos cabezotes para películas por artistas plásticos basados en esas imágenes. “¿Cabezones?”, se quedó pensando y sonriendo.

 

Son traga humos, sí. Afectan la visual de quien mira con un infrarrojo.

2 ideas que le prometí a Jaime Ávila desarrollar. Yo no soy más inteligente que los demás, soy más obediente. “Explore los materiales, rompa con los marcos” … enmarcar cuesta un huevo, no me gusta deber, ni gastar más de lo que tengo. “Dale con el reciclaje”. Algunos materiales sí tuve que comprarlos. Me gusta el resultado de incluir plásticos, papel de aluminio, colores fluorescentes, da un aspecto artesanal e industrial a la vez.




Todavía no rompo los marcos del todo pero la idea es hacerlo, como en los ready mades que había construido previamente, tenía que mirar cómo me iba con los materiales. Hay un tema de dosificar la recolección de material reciclado porque hay que estimar una bodega para el tema. Uno no trabaja tan rápido y uno va seleccionando algunos materiales de su preferencia, por ejemplo, me gustan los esmaltados de los paquetes de cigarrillos Pielrroja, ni siquiera los quise intervenir con pintura. Trabajar cartón corrugado es muy práctico, aguantan todo, desde vinilos hasta esmaltes.

 

Algunos materiales se deterioran con el aire, este papel naranja se decoloró. Hay que tomar las fotos, muchos objetos no se conservan.

 





Pienso pintar muebles con esmaltes, piezas de mobiliario reciclado, voy a tener que determinar una estrategia para conseguirlos y almacenarlos. En un par de años expondré, diseños escenográficos. Tengo una idea con películas y cuentos fantásticos, como de Julio Verne. Escribo guiones pensando en novela negra también. Uno primero trabaja de modo convencional y luego deconstruye la estructura para darle forma a una nueva composición. Tenía que medir el espacio antes de arriesgar. Hice algunas pruebas de pintura gran formato para determinar el alcance de las realizaciones. Medir la capacidad propia y organizar la investigación sistemática de los materiales y procesos.

 




Lujo es hacer lo que a uno le gusta. Buscaré maneras de convertir esto en procesos industriales. Tengo dos procesos en curso, la producción de obra original, pintura, escultura, y el rediseño a partir de la obra para su uso sobre objetos funcionales.


 

Sencillamente no quiero vender la obra, todo esto se convertirá en impresos para afiche y retablo, con series limitadas, sobre papeles especiales, revisaré el tema. Esto quiere decir que una exposición mía estaría compuesta por una composición escenográfica de objetos originales, y una producción seriada de réplicas para la venta, en las mejores condiciones de calidad y portabilidad. ¡Costos! La gente comprará si accede al precio. “Y si es bonito y bien acabado”. Lo bello es discutible, yo sí pienso arriesgar incluso en objetos funcionales.

 

¿Qué piensan de esto? A mí la naturaleza me causa curiosidad.






Tabaco.

 

Satisfecha con mi última producción de miniaturas, vinilo sobre cartón corrugado. Paisaje. La idea es que la gente se lo pueda llevar. Pero bajo ninguna condición negocio con el espectador de la obra. Obra es obra, hay producciones para diseño, de alguna manera concilio con el gusto del comprador, pero es que ni siquiera puedo hacer objetos fuera del contexto del arte. Es como ser daltónico. Nada que hacer.¿A ver qué les parece?

Con respecto a los videos, que me preguntaban, este año únicamente trabajé sobre Kid Luciana, no se pudo presentar en vivo pero ya encontrará este performance su lugar. Es tan rápido como ocurren las situaciones que no alcanzo a hacer una edición digna, para el arte, el video y la foto, cuando no se utilizan como recurso para la producción de la obra, importan como registro gráfico, el soporte de una acción que ya es en sí misma. Buscaré el tiempo para producir los videos y los guiones de largometraje.

Es interesante para la propuesta de Revista Hay Un Lugar, la posibilidad de incursionar en la industria editorial con libros, videos, audios …


Y por supuesto que este año también trabajé sobre la revista. Las 5 revistas del pilotaje (para no terminar en el aeropuerto) versan sobre el emprendimiento naranja, creo que quedó el contenido completo, con el material que salió se puede publicar un libro, voy a buscar las imágenes.

¿Does it exist something like a Latin American Rhetoric?


Hinting (Kicking) of this issue, Rhetoric, it seemed to me US speakers are better well-known as Latin-Americans. Millions of people stared at in front of a TV device to listen their words, not many US citizens would wait to listen what an African president would have to say, not matter if he is a dictator putting world feet up. That might be the reason for not many Latin people stand up to speak. Consequently, you put me nervous. 

¿Does it exist something like a Latin-American Rhetoric?

Not many people at Bogotá nowadays, do cultivate rhetoric, but it’s very popular to include people’s thinking in songs, we do really prefer the singing voices as a way of being influential moving masses. This comes from Catholic medieval ritual experience and its pedagogical purpose. Think of a Baptiste church and you can catch Latins' feelings. To make you figure out, popular Mexican character “Cantinflas” floppy all discourses and seems contradictory he can communicate, he is too influent, even today. All Latins relate to "Cantinflas" because,  thou inequity, we are convoked to laugh as a preventing measure. Then, breaking through the corner, you always can find an old radio replying old singer "Paquita la del barrio", she represents women attacking men through really rush words, the means of this is a way of equilibrating forces due extended domestic violence in our popular families. So she goes like (a phrase from her lyrics translated): "two-legged rat, creeping animal", then let`s go friends to next match. I`d like to mention Rigoberta Menchu, a too bright indigenous lawyer, nowadays she has been convoking Latin-American women get back to school to be lawyers as an example of this popular way of being rhetoric.  Their intonation, the way they emphasize  convictions, the way they represent our contra-cultural movements, are  arguments make me “retrouve” them as speakers. I gathered my questions, I went further, and I found a couple meaningful Latin-American speeches at You Tube. First of all, Fidel Castro`s Speech at UN after winning Cuban Revolution on January, 1959. It is a four hour turning point speech about cold war. Then, an elder one, this is not properly an Latin speaker, but we recognize this north-south path as important in Latin development of its culture and speech, this is well known President Roosevelt`s I took Panama. It should be organized first this one, then Castro`s, from a historical timeline, thou Castro is a main reference for our modern speech, as I said, we don´t have too many speakers, or opportunities to give a whole world outstanding speech, about any topic world would be interested at. Most of Latin-American Speeches have to do with relationships between USA and the rest of continent. Then, we have speeches related to nature, environment, that`s the one proposed by Chile`s President Pepe Mujica signing agreements about sustainable development at UN. Speech turns about happiness, as a topic, and it`s near in spirit to Seattle Chief letter to American president at the end of 19th century. As you notice is important indigenous ancestors' concepts for Latin’s daily life. Then, I found some commemorative ones, 500 years celebration of America`s discovery, and 200 years of Independence bicentennial. I think we still need to study a lot more about Latin-American rhetoric, this is not an exhaustive review, but first step to follow traces and tendencies in Latin-American’s discourses, so we can finally point out existence of Gabriel García Márquez's speech “Damocles’ cataclysm”, receiving Nobel prize, and south of continent dictatorial speeches, I guess they might exists for experts to study phenomena. Before saying Latin-American speeches show the way of construct a territory, people's feelings at a range of time, and how they are important to convoke audiences to be persuaded. Most of these Latin-American speeches talk to emotions and senses more than to reason. Many people call this populism, so Latin people quit believing in this promises, which can explain why there are too little writing to be spoken or worth keeping. People is not writing nor reading they are suspicious practices, sum to lack of opportunities for learning. No one believes in pseudo-prophets, any of them propose new ideals, there is a leadership crisis, and leaders are getting murdered. All we think is school needs to start teaching people to think, to think about who we are? ¿how do we perceive and learn world?  what`s good or bad? About the sense of what I think, say and do, and , if  I do really have something to say, it is my liberty and my rights. The way people construct democracy, civilization, and public politics. We have not done this homework.

Op-ed. La práctica hace al maestro.


Op-ed - La práctica hace al maestro. La investigación también. – Lucy Tatiana Galvis Peñuela.

“La vida es solo una, y hay que vivirla”, parece recitar Pepe Mujica en su discurso ante la ONU, convencido de la felicidad como parte de su propuesta de sostenibilidad en el desarrollo. ¿Para qué queremos trabajar ocho horas? – Recuerdo la esencia del mensaje – les hemos reducido a seis horas y ahora consiguen dos trabajos para pagar los bienes de consumo que han comprado, y trabajan más.

La educación ya no forma para la vida, ¿alguna vez lo hizo? Gran reto para la estrategia, otro tanto para la táctica. Las actividades de los niños en las aulas de clase en Colombia, no parecen rendir sus frutos. Aducen el problema al diseño de las aulas, hay niños aprendiendo en malocas, tanto como a orillas del mar. Qué escenarios más apropiados dirían los maestros inspirados. Cierto en algunas épocas del año, no cuando llueve. Y a esa incomodidad al ir a estudiar, ir al colegio en algunas regiones del país es prácticamente viajar varias horas hasta el plantel, se suma el amontonamiento de los niños alrededor de una profesora que no sabe cómo sacarse de la manga el material pedagógico de la clase. Ese, que según los expertos, ayuda a la nemotecnia y al desarrollo de las habilidades y competencias. Y aún con toda la arquitectura dispuesta, y los útiles a la mano, estamos lejos de conseguir que nuestros maestros desarrollen una clase memorable para sus estudiantes.

Memorable en términos de que ese conocimiento apele a las prioridades, a la pertinencia, y al despertar del interés. Las clases no emocionan, no dejan huellas indelebles. Pese a todas las actividades de planeación, los Proyectos Educativos Institucionales, PEI’s, los maestros no consiguen dosificar los contenidos, los niños no son botes de basura, quizás sea hora de pensar que menos es más.

Cada contenido encuentra su forma. Cada porción de conocimiento que vayamos a entregar, su metodología y material de apoyo. Debemos preguntarnos frente a cada bloque de contenido cuál es la esencia de esto que queremos enseñar, porque aprendizaje que no estimule la adquisición de nuevos aprendizajes, no funciona. ¿Qué nos motiva a seguir investigando en ese filón de conocimiento por años? ¿Qué nos estimula a aprender a aprender?

Y es que en el hombre hay unas pocas preguntas básicas, unas ontológicas, ¿quién soy?, otras epistemológicas, ¿cómo organizo lo que aprendo del mundo?, otras lógicas, ¿tiene sentido esto que pienso, digo y hago?, muchas preguntas éticas, y algunas preguntas prácticas. Luego, ¿en qué consiste evolucionar el currículum para hacer de estas clases de colegio contenidos más dinámicos, flexibles, apropiados para el contexto, actualizados, y funcionales?

Hemos estado pensando cada materia dentro del currículo como un bloque separado de los otros, las ciencias, las matemáticas, el lenguaje, las sociales, las artes, los deportes, los sistemas. No existe una cohesión con lo que consideramos valores importantes para la comunidad, éticas, criterios, sentidos y experiencias diarias, el sentido ontológico que me dice que una clase de biología es importante porque estamos conectados con el mundo, aquello que nos propone poner en práctica, durante toda nuestra vida, la idea de la tolerancia frente a las diferencias y que por eso son importantes las sociales. El problema no es ubicar en un mapa los hitos geográficos del país, sino entender el por qué somos un país soberano y cómo ejercer esa soberanía. En qué consiste la experiencia de ser ciudadano, que dicen nuestros sentidos del territorio que recorremos, cómo nos reconocemos como humanos, cómo nos ven y cómo vemos a los otros. 

Un ejemplo sería el uso del lenguaje. Importante para comunicar nuestras opiniones, una lengua no se aprende si no entendemos su lógica, esos aspectos culturales que aprendemos desde la infancia y que están presentes en la forma misma de la enseñanza. Comparando el aprendizaje de idiomas en los niños, se puede establecer una gran diferencia entre el aprendizaje, por ejemplo, del inglés como segunda lengua desde la gramática, a su aprendizaje en el kindergarten norteamericano o inglés por hablantes nativos. Cada canción infantil facilita la comprensión de las palabras, facilita la enunciación, el reconocimiento de ciertos vocablos o conjuntos de letras, enseña a ubicar las partes de la boca para su correcta pronunciación, enseñan el ritmo y la musicalidad con la que se habla en ese idioma, incluye en los contenidos aspectos éticos de la comunidad que habla ese lenguaje común, comunica con los gestos a la manera en que lo hacen los abuelos, trae al presente la tradición, y las ideas fuerzas de cada grupo humano, propone frente a temas como la nacionalidad, la raza, la edad, el género, o la clase.

Un proyecto de aula no funciona si no es retórico, sino debate los discursos de la época, si no forma la voz potente, si no propone esas ideas fuerza que convocan a la acción más allá del plantel, si no construye criterio, conceptos, argumentación consistente, y opiniones auténticas. El aprendizaje en el aula nos habla de las ideas de país, de la nacionalidad, de los procesos identitarios, de esos que hacen que cada mañana yo quiera salir a trabajar, a estudiar, a hacer mejores cosas por mi país y por mi familia.

Algunas entidades, en Colombia, hacen un esfuerzo por capacitar maestros en el área de lenguaje, la lecto-escritura y la oralidad son fundamentales para el aprendizaje de todas las materias incluidas las matemáticas, sin embargo, fortalecer los procesos de aula implica revisar a fondo el ABC de la actividad docente dentro del aula de clase, no solo la didáctica. Hay que ver los videos de otros maestros alrededor del mundo, por ejemplo, los videos de las clases de matemáticas ya denotan un rezago en el kindergarten, ellos incluyen aprestamiento para la programación en sistemas, y nosotros no,  eso supone un retraso enorme para el país, se nos va a presentar un serio problema de inclusión tecnológica de no solucionarse.

Lo que sucede ya. Estas experiencias que apenas comienzan vienen realizándose en las bibliotecas de Bogotá, hay actividades en las bibliotecas de Colsubsidio, en la biblioteca CLEO de la Universidad de La Salle, UNIAGRARIA viene pidiendo el servicio, y la Cámara de Comercio – Compensar comienzan a abrir la convocatoria para la formación de maestros de los colegios públicos del Distrito. La Alcaldía de Bogotá está muy interesada en que este proyecto en lecto-escritura y oralidad salga adelante. Ojalá incluyan como en la antigua Grecia, la lógica, la ética y la retórica. Encimarles la mayéutica, y que no se diga más.

Lujos - Lluvia de ideas - Mayo 24 de 2020

- Mencionar que uno sabe qué es narratio, insinuatio, refutatio, peroratio, arbitrio, indulto, así como lo enseñan en la clase de Rhetoric de Harvard. Estudiar filología, numismática, volverse políglota, también son lujos.
- Corresponden al mundo de las potestades, y de las tempestades, el derecho per se a hacer pataleta.
- Lujo, tener algo que heredar. He venido pensando en el Rey Lear y sus 3 hijas.
- Tiene que ser una persona muy especial para poder todo. El lujo es la capacidad objetivada. "Porque quiero y puedo".
- El derecho a ser libre.
- Si quiere el objeto, lo construye.
- Algo que hay que ganar competitivamente. La presea.
- Los lujos despiertan emociones y sensaciones para los sentidos.
- Tienen que ser auténticos.
- ¿Qué del otro quería yo? El florero de Llorente. Un hombre / una mujer/ La familia perfecta.
- Lo contrario: sobran los lujos, escueto.
- La valoración. Pesos y medidas. El valor de las cosas.
- Los códigos de viestuario.
- Reciprocidad y favorabilidad. La nobleza. El derecho a indultar.

- Hasta los gestos son estudiados.
- La lucha porque le dejen decir. El derecho a nacer. No le dan autoridad ni a ocupar el útero de su madre. Usted es un malnacido.
- El derecho a mandar. El que tiene autoridad, poder, dinero y lujos.
- Lo bursátil, la heráldica, el que cumple el sueño de volar, de viajar en cohete, el sueño hecho realidad.
- ¿Esclavos del reloj? Los otros.
- Lo fundacional. Fundar un país con estatutos y constitución. Declarar mi casa territorio independiente, con bandera, escudo, billetes ... y discursos a sus conciudadanos. Voy a cobrar impuestos. Me tomaré el territorio del vecino, ampliaré mi casa a través de internet, ocuparé su lugar.
- "En mi casa se hacen tareas esté o no esté el papá", dijo alguien esta mañana.

Does it exist somethink like a Latinamerican Rhetoric? OP-ED - FIRST DRAFT.


Hinking (Kicking) of this issue, Rhetoric, it seemed to me US speakers are more well known as ours. Millions of people stared in front of a tv device to listen to their words, not many US citizens would wait to listen what an african president would have to say, not matter if he is a dictator putting world feet up. That might be the reason for not many latin people speaking to you. You put me nervous. 

Does it exist somethink like a Latinamerican Rhetoric? I´m Lucy Tatiana Galvis Peñuela, Colombian, and I´ll be talking to you for two hours ... I´m not that serious ...

Not many people around me, Bogotá nowadays, do cultivate rhetoric but it is very popular to include what people is thinking in the songs, we do really prefer the singing voices as a way of being influent and to move masses. How come, I asked? That comes from medieval experience of singning catholic rituals with a pedagogical purpose. Think of a Baptiste church and you can catch Latins' feelings. To make you figure out a first hand catch from latin streets, I choose "Cantinflas", the popular mexican character because it looks kind of contradictory he could communicate, thou flopping all discourses, he is too influent, even today. All latins relate to "Cantinflas" because all we people believe we are poor and loser countries. Thou inequity, we are convoked to laugh as a preventing measure.

Then, breaking through the corner, I may sound kind of puertorrican to you, you always can find an old radio replying "Paquita la del barrio", an old singer. She represents a genre of music where women attack men using really rush words, the means of this is a way of equilibrating forces due extended domestic violence in our popular families. So she goes like (a phrase from her lyrics translated): "two-legged rat, creeping animal", then let`s go friends to next match.

I`d like to mention Rigoberta Menchu, a too bright indigenous lawyer, nowadays she has been convoking latinamerican women to get back to school and become lawyers because our countries are needing real leaderships. I don´t know if they have proper use of spanish language, maybe not, oh, yes,  think she does, she is a mighty lawyer, "Cantinflas" and the others, for sure not, but their entonation, the way they emphasize in convictions, the way they represent our contra-cultural movements, are the arguments that make me retrouve them.

I found Socratic method resourceful for gathering my questions, so going further, I found a couple meaningful latinamerican speeches at You Tube. First of all, Fidel Castro`s Speech at UN after winning Cuban Revolution on january, 1959. It is a four hour turning point speech about cold war. Then, an elder one, this is not properly an latin speaker, but we recognize this north south path as important in latin development of its culture and speech, this is well known President Roosevelt`s I took Panama. It should be organized first this one, then Castro`s, from a historical timeline, thou Castro is a main reference for our modern speech, as I said, we don´t have too many speakers, or oportunities to give a whole world outstanding speech, about any topic world woudl be interested at.

Most of Latinamerican Speeches have to do with relationships between USA and the rest of continent. Then, we have speeches related to nature, environment, that`s the one proposed by Chile`s President Pepe Mujica signing agreements about sustainable development at UN. Speech turns about happiness,as a topic, and it`s near in spirit to Seattle Chief letter to american president at the end of 19th century. As you notice is important indigenous ancestors' concepts for latins dayly life. It`s that so, I found some conmemorative ones. 500 years celebration of America`s discovery, and 200 years of Independence bicentennial.

I think we still need to study a lot more about latinamerican rhetoric, this is not an exhaustive review, but first step to follow traces and tendencies in Latinamerica's discourses, so we can finnally point out Gabriel García Márquez's speech receiving nobel prize, and south of continet dictatorial speeches, I guess they might sxists for experts to study phenomena, before saying latinamerican speeches show the way of construct a territory, people's feelings at a range of time, and how they are important to convoke audiences to be persuaded. Most of these latinamerican speeches talk to emotions and senses more than to reason. Many people call this populism, and many latin people left believing in this promises, which can explain why there are too little writing to be spoken or worth keeping.

People is not writing nor reading, they are suspicious practices, sum to lack of oportunities for a right learning. Anyone believes in pseudo-prophets, anyone propose new ideals, there are a lidership crisis, liders are getting murdered. All we think school needs to start teaching people to think, but more of us does not know what to think about? I have proposed a couple of thinks, ontology, who am I? aesthetics, how do we perceive world? Epestemology, how do I organize what I learn from world? ethic, what`s good or bad? logic, does it have any sense what I think, say and do? and rhetoric, I do really have something to say, it is my liberty and my rights. The way people construct democracy, civilization, public politics. School at Colombia might have to think of this within the curriculum, more important of know a huge quantity of knowledges, kids are not garbage bags, is to establish formative processes for living life at community, at the family. Though both purposes, only writing, reading and saying is going to give us peace, and this rescue of historical documents for that purpuese is going to be fundamental for our development purposes, we have not do this homework.
